A gargantuan, powerful 5.7-Liter, i-Force DOHC, 8-cylinder aluminum block and alloy head engine built to last and perform comes standard with this trim. It is capable of delivering up to 381 horsepower and a raging 401 pound-feet of torque. Still, with all this power, it reaps an agreeable 14/19 mpg city/hwy. 
Standard mechanical features on this PLA trim include a 5.7-liter V8 engine and rear-wheel drive. The 2010 LV8 4x4 Platinum 4WD trim comes with a powerful, 381 horsepower, 5.7-liter, i-Force DOHC, 8-cylinder, EFI engine with an aluminum block, an aluminum alloy head, and dual independent VVT-i (the same engine as the other LV8s).
The 2010 LV8 4x4 SR5 4WD comes with the standard 381 hp, 5.7-liter, i-Force DOHC, 8-cylinder, EFI engine with an aluminum block, an aluminum alloy head, and dual independent VVT-i.
The 2010 Sequoia SV8 SR5 comes with RWD and a 310 horsepower, 4.6-liter, i-Force DOHC, 8-cylinder, EFI engine with an aluminum block, an aluminum alloy head, and dual independent VVT-i.
Comparable to its sister trim, the SV8 4x4 SR5 is marked by its reliance on a 4WD system, rather than a Rear-Wheel Drive system, as is used in the SV8 4x2 SR5 trim grade. The SV8 4x4 SR5 uses a powerful 4.6-Liter V8 engine that produces 310 horsepower and 327 pount-feet of torque and is slightly more conservative than the alternative 5.7-Liter engine present in the majority of Sequoia trims. Toyota's got good news when it comes to the SV8 4x4 SR5 trim. Its gas mileage ranks in slightly better than the majority of Sequoia trims, as they are for the most part powered by the larger 5.7-Liter V8. This trim has an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 14/19 mpg city/hwy.
