2021 Toyota Camry 4-cylinder engine options

The 4-cylinder engine option is the most common option and you can find it on the LE, SE, SE Nightshade Edition, XLE, and the XSE trim levels. The 4-cylinder engine option is a 2.5-liter powerplant that can get up to 206 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. However, many trim levels offer a slightly different tweak on the engine.

The max efficiency for this engine is 28-city and 39-highway mpg. However, this engine is the only engine that’s available with an all-wheel-drive drivetrain configuration. With AWD, you can get up to 25-city and 34-highway mpg.

2021 Toyota Camry hybrid options

There are multiple trims that offer a hybrid powertrain. The Camry has hybrid options for the LE, SE, XLE, and XSE. The hybrid drivetrain includes a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that by itself provides 176 horsepower and 163 pound-feet of torque. However, the electric motor boosts that horsepower up to 208. In terms of efficiency, the LE Hybrid gets up to 51-city and 53-highway mpg, and all other hybrid trims get up to 44-city and 47-highway mpg.

2021 Toyota Camry V6 options

The 2021 Toyota Camry is available with a V6 powerplant. It comes as standard equipment on the TRD and the aptly named XLE V6 and XSE V6 trim levels. This engine is a 3.5-liter V6 and with that displacement, it can generate up to 301 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque.

All V6 trim levels get 22 mpg in the city, but the highway mpg varies due to suspension differences. The TRD gets up to 31-highway mpg, the XSE gets 32-highway mpg, and the XLE gets the best V6 highway efficiency at 33 mpg.
