What’s new with Toyota Safety Sense?<\/h3>\n

Much like the original Toyota Safety Sense, the second-generation package is designed to enhance awareness and decision-making for the driver as well as improve the overall vehicle operation experience. TSS also addresses the main components of accident protection, including preventing or helping to avoid frontal collisions, helping drivers stay in their lane, and improving visibility and safety at night.<\/p>\n

Road Sign Assist:<\/strong> displays road sign information on the dashboard gauge display and Head-Up Display (if equipped) using an onboard camera that can detect certain common signs in the U.S., Japan, and Europe<\/p>\n

Lane Tracing Assist:<\/strong> provides steering support to keep the vehicle centered in its lane when Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is being used<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pre-Collision System:<\/strong> deceleration capabilities have been enhanced as well as the ability to detect pedestrians both during the day and at night and bicyclists during the day<\/p>\n
