The 2016 Highlander LE comes standard with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine, but drivers can upgrade to a 3.5-liter V6 engine, which is what comes in the Highlander LE Plus. Both trim levels and engine options are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission for smooth, seamless shifting. The V6-equipped models offer either front-wheel or all-wheel drivetrains, so you can choose which one is right for you based on your regular driving habits and terrains.
