What is the Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept?

Early this morning, at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Toyota debuted the GR Supra Racing Concept, paying homage to the legendary Supra model that was so popular in the 70s and 80s. Although this specific model won’t be produced to the market, it shows Toyota is still planning to make that dream a reality at some point in the future. Not to mention, it gives us a glimpse of the Supra’s true potential. Let’s take a closer look at Toyota’s GR Supra Racing Concept and the features and capabilities it offers.

Design of the GR Supra Racing Concept

The Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept is a compact, two-door vehicle with a front-engine/rear-wheel drive configuration. It takes advantage of lightweight materials, which improve its maneuverability and performance on the racetrack. The concept vehicle was created by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing and pays tribute to the Supra in more ways than one. Notable components include BBS racing wheels, Michelin racing tires, and Brembo Racing brake calipers.

On the inside, the Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept’s cabin design is focused on the driver. It features a racing dashboard and paddle shifters as well as an OMP driver’s seat and safety harness. We invite you to check out some images of the GR Supra Racing Concept from its debut:
