The Tacoma Trail Special Edition, which builds off of the Tacoma SR5 grade, is geared towards adventure-seeking pickup truck drivers that need enhanced utility. Features for the Tacoma Trail Special Edition include 16” TRD Off-Road wheels with Kevlar All-Terrain tires, all-weather floor liners, and lockable storage and a 120-volt power outlet in the pickup bed. The Tacoma Nightshade Edition, which builds off of the Tacoma Limited grade, has a “blacked out” look with a darkened-chrome grille insert design, Dark Smoke 18” alloy wheels, black exhaust tips, black fog light bezels, and black leather-trim seating.

What else is new for the 2021 Toyota Tacoma?

Beyond the special edition models, the Tacoma is primarily a carryover model. However, there are feature upgrades across the trim lineup. All Tacoma models with the V6 engine have enhanced comfort and convenience with a newly standard dual-zone auto AC system.
