does remote start work with a 2006 model?
My 2005 Avalon Limited used to start remotely using the smart key system. Now it does not start after the third button push. The hazard lights do flash once but the headlights do not flash, the engine does not start, and the hazard lights do not do the longer flash series. Any ideas on why it might not be working any more?
A friend of my granddaughters was given a 2009 Toyota Yaris, it has over 300000 miles on it. It belonged to a business. It does something we don’t understand. I don’t know if it is a factory remote engine start or after market one. When she pushes the door lock button once the engine cranks for a short time but does not start. Is this normal or is something going wrong with the remote started system?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can I out an auto start in my 2009 Venza?
The vehicle turning off for safety should be an optional feature. The customer should be able to turn it off if they would like. It is a total waste of gas and money that the car turns off when you are opening the driver’s door with the key, just for the driver to restart it again! If the car is locked and there is not a key in the car, it is much more difficult for anyone to steal the car! Toyota should definitely look into switching this “safety” feature to optional!!!

So my mother has the 2019 Toyota Camry XSE and it came with remote start but it seems to turn off as soon as you unlocked the door or open the doors. How can I remove that safety feature?
I have a 2020 how do I disable or replace the remote starter with a new one without voiding warranty?
Your remote starter on my 2019 Toyota Camry XLE is terrible! You can’t adjust the run time and the fixed run time is too short. When you open the car door to get in, the engine shuts down! How stupid is that! And don’t say it for safety because that’s b*llsh*t! The car is plenty safe without having the engine shutdown when I get in! No other car manufacturers design their remote start like this! Get on the ball Toyota! You can do better!
